The whole thing was knit out of the left over yellow yarn we used to make a scar crow hair. The Bag is complete! And to my embarrassment almost a year long project. Not entirely because of an unskilled knitter but things like ruining out of yarn, uneven strap-holes, and felting mishaps. This bag was knitted for my Great Aunt Sallie Ann, and she paid me which is why it's embarrassing that it took me 10 months to complete, photograph and ship. It turned out longer than I expected so it has been daubed the "blue banana bag" I promised my self I would never again alter patterns (this is how the bag came into existence) but that was a big flop on an idea, I still tinker with patterns. The body of the bag was knitted with Lamb's Pride, and the lighter blue straps and edging were knitted with some unknown brand, well not unknown, just failure to remember. But really I rather pleased with it.

The postcard above is one of my favorites. You send postcards all over the world and in return, you receive postcards from every corned of the globe. These are some of the postcards I have sent. I hand make all of them, so through my art work it's like sending a little piece of me, so theoretically I've been most every where, if you wrap your mind around it the right way.

This is the first post card I send off destined to Finland. True, Thanksgiving got stuck with the mascot of an over wight turkey, not nearly as magical as flying reindeer and sleds filled with gifts, and a jolly old man who will give you your hearts desires.

But the magic of Thanksgiving does some thing else...

Thanksgiving turns us into over night chiefs, who could whip up the most splendid of dishes, yams, apple pies, rolls, and a turkey that is juicy and tender.
Thanksgiving brings up together and makes us forget the worries of yesterday, and joke the bad times off.
Thanksgiving makes use to take time to be thankful for the people sitting our left and right.

So I challenge you to be thankful, tell your loved ones you are thankful they're here, tell the mailman you appreciate him never losing a letter, or even a bill. That was one of the wriest things I've done. There were 13 other people being put under hypnosis with me, we all sat on a stage and got to be cheap entertainment for everybody else. Being under hypnosis was like being in a concise sleep, I was aware of every thing around me, and what I was doing. The hypnotist started out by having use all fall asleep, you were sitting there and just slowly you slipped into a sleep like state, I fell over but don't remember bonking my head or anything. Then he told us it was cold and you were going to freeze to death, then he told you, you were in a 400 degree oven, and you really felt cold or burning...Weird...! I knew I could open my eyes if I wanted to but then you just got this overwhelming thought of: wow that's a stupid idea. So yep I have official been hypnotised.

Knitting

I've just finished knitting purple leg warms and have no other project nagging to be finished (wow that's weird) well any way I'm at a lose for what to knit now I'm open to suggestions.

berry pick n'

Today, we took the windy road over the hill to a u-pick berry field. It was blazing hot and quite uncomfortable but I didn't really care. We walked the acres of berries sampling as we went, there were so mean kinds of berries and they all looked the same, I became some what suspious. Never the less, I had a grand time, mine fingers are now all different shades of purples, pinks, and a couple of blues. We came home with about seven pounds of raspberries and mystery berries for a total of $6.02, not bad. When we returned home I treated myself to berries and vanilla yogurt.

Grocery Store Wars

I found this little 2 minuet spoof off of star wars, it's really funny the first time you watch it but it gets old so be careful not to ware it out. So just for grins and giggles and to escape the heat I decided to fill the bath tub with cold water. But wait, there's more! I then proceeded to empty the freezer of all the ice, found the largest plastic mixing bowl dumped the ice in the bowl and then into the tub the ice went. It was fun until the ice melted and I found myself sitting in a filled to the brim tub of super cold water, which is ironic because that's what I wanted in the first place. I only remembered how hot it was when I opened the conditioner bottle and it was melted. And now here I sit mad and miserable because of the heat and I can't be happy either way heat or in a tub of cold water.... bummer.....

Coffee Table Readings

Hexakosioinexekontahexaphobics- yes it's a real word, it's the scientific term for people afraid of the number 666. Over 1 billion dollars this year will be spent on dietary items (ex. diet pills) remember this doesn't include exercise equipment and gym memberships.

2. Today's Miss America has to be 20 pounds lighter to even consider walking out on the runway than when the pageant started in the late 1940's.

3. In a test of kindergarten they were shown pictures of children than asked which ones they would want to be friends with. 90% choose children with mental retardation and physical deformities over children who were heavier.

4. The mass majority of growing children and teens prefer diet sodas over regular.

5. Barbi:
a) If Barbi were real she would have to crawl on all fours to move because of really out of proportion body (ex. huge boobies and tiny waits)
b) Barbi's ankles are so thin if she stood up they would snap in two.
c) Barbi's waits is so thin all the essential organs couldn't fit inside her let alone work.

6. Marilyn Monroe the famous beauty/sex icon of the 1950's in today's society would be considered "fat" or "to heavy"

7. In yet another test 85% of 4th graders said they were unhappy with their body image.

Now I think we can all agree this is sad. And now I leave you with an inspirational quote I got of a friends T- shirt:
"If the definition of beauty gets any thinner no one will be able to fit..."

soap operas

I have come to conclude, that the only people who watch Soap Operas are the people who have no interests. Enjoy!
1. Take shopping carts for the express purpose of filling them and stranding them at strategic locations.
2. Ride those little electronic cars at the front of the store.
3. Set all the alarm clocks to go off at ten-minute intervals throughout the day.
4. Start playing Calvinball; see how many people you can get to join.
5. Contaminate the entire auto department by sampling all the spray air fresheners.
6. Challenge other customers to duels with tubes of gift-wrap.
7. Leave cryptic messages on the typewriters.
8. Re-dress the mannequins as you see fit.
9. When there are people behind you, walk really slowly, especially in thin aisles.
10. Walk up to an employee and tell him in an official tone, "I think we've got a code 3 in housewares," and see what happens.
11. Turn all the radios to polka stations; then turn them off and turn the volume up to full blast.
12. Play with the automatic doors.
13. Walk up to complete strangers and say, "Hi. I haven't seen you in so long." etc. See if they play along.
14. While walking through the clothing department, ask yourself loud enough for all to hear, "Who buys this crap anyway?!"
15. Repeat #14 in the jewelry department.
16. Ride a display bicycle through the store; claim you are taking it for a test drive.
17. Follow people through the aisles, staying about 5 feet behind them. Do this until they leave the store.
18. Play soccer with a group of friends, using the entire store as your playing field.
19. As the cashier runs your purchase over the scanner, look mesmerized and say, "Wow, magic!"
20. Take off your shoes and tell them you want to return it and when they say you didn't buy it there say "Hmmmm....I thought the customer was always right!"
21. Move "Caution : Wet Floor" signs to carpeted areas.
22. Set up a tent in the camping department; tell others you will only invite them in if they bring pillows from Bed and Bath.
23. Test the fishing rods and see what you can catch from other aisles.
24. Drape a blanket around your shoulders and run around saying, "I'm Batman. Come Robin, to the Batcave."
25. TP as much of the store as possible.
26. Randomly throw things over into neighboring aisles.
27. Play with the calculators so that they all spell "hello" upside down.
28. For you see most always public restrooms have no toiletpaper. Yes, you have not gone stupid and cannot read, there is no toiletpaper in the public restrooms in Japan. So what dose one do when one is found in a bathroom with no toilet paper at hand? If you're in this situation now let me tell you I'm vary sorry and, you're out of luck. To avoid this problem we were advised to carry those small tissue packages in our backpacks at all times. But wait there is more! You not only have no toilet paper but the toilets are nothing more than sunken into the ground! So in order to do you business you have to squat over the toilet (or should I say sunken toilet). Yes vary unpleasant I know, that's some fine print on the application!

MENIGICOCLES

Okay to day I totally flipped for the three minutes I thought I had menigicocles. So I was dressing down for P.E and the person behind me said "what happened to your shoulder?" I told the person I didn't know and walked across the lockeroom to the mirror and looked over my shoulder and there were dark spots covering my shoulder! The only thing that came to mind was menigicocles because it's the only thing that's been in the news for that past couple of weeks. So I asked one of the P.E teachers who was passing by what they thought of it and the teacher asked me if I was feeling okay, (this only made me freak out more because my head kind of hurt the day before after school.) anyway the teacher said not to worry because the spots probably would have been darker if it was menigicocles. So I'm not going to die.

If you have these symptoms you might have menigicocles:

dark spots anywhere on your body

flu like symptoms (head ache, stomach ache...(ect.)

stiff neck

sensitive to light

FOOTBALL!

Yes it's all over. Super bowl Sunday has come and gone at last. I never really got the point of football. Honestly! What's the point of buff guys in tight pants running around and trying to kill each other? Personally I'd rather be bored. Folding laundry is not only boring but frustrating. Trying to find the match to each sock than trying to find out whose sock it is! And laundry piles up day after day it never goes away, it just sits there mocking you! There is no time when you wake up and think hurray there is no laundry to fold so I won't fell bad doing something else when I really should be folding laundry. But there is a up side to lots of laundry because that means you have clothes to ware and will never have to freeze.

TA TA for now!
